ABOUT TIDA SVY
My name’s Tida (like pita)! I’m a wedding & elopement photographer and I am so freakin’ excited that you’re HERE, you’re ENGAGED, and you’re looking to get some photos to celebrate it! To tell you a lil about myself - I’m not just another photographer – I’m your hype girl, your ally, your eyes and your ears on your wedding day. I’ll be there freaking out shouting “OMG HOT FIRE ALERT” hyping you up during portraits because holy-shit you look amazing AF! I’ll be dancing circles around your guests while I shove my camera in their faces, fixing your hair when the wind gets too cray, and confidently (and loudly) directing your family portrait time. I’m a tiny ball of giant energy and gurl, it shows on your wedding day – TRUST.
I’m here to give you beautiful, real, and candid photos that you’ll cherish for a lifetime – the ones that capture you and your partner at your silliest, weirdest, and most intimate moments. HOW TO PLAN A WEDDING IN LAKE TAHOE —
5 TIPS FOR PLANNING A LAKE TAHOE WEDDING
There are so many things to keep in mind when planning a Lake Tahoe Wedding! Here are 5 things you need to know about getting married in Lake Tahoe:
Choose the right season for you:
• Summer: Warm, dry, and ideal for outdoor ceremonies on the lake or in the mountains.
• Fall: Fewer crowds, golden aspens, crisp air—magical for photos.
• Winter: Dreamy snow-covered settings for cozy mountain weddings.
• Spring : Beautiful blooms and shoulder-season pricing, but possible snow or mud.
Consider altitude and logistics! Tahoe sits at ~6,200 feet above sea level. Remind everyone to hydrate and take it easy the first day. If you need to travel between locations on your wedding day, consider how long that might take! Choose a getting ready hotel or airbnb close to your venue. Same if you hope to take photos around the city - consider hiring a shuttle bus to drive you and your wedding party to each location so you don’t have to worry about parking. Be sure to factor in travel time!
Keep the weather in mind and have a backup plan. Weather shifts fasts in the Sierra. Always have a tent or indoor option, blankets or heaters for chillier evenings, and rain/snow backup locations for ceremonies or photos.
Get a wedding planner. With so many moving parts on your wedding day, hiring a great wedding planner will help keep the stress off of you so you can fully enjoy your wedding day!
Build in downtime. Lake Tahoe is stunning. Don’t over-schedule it! There’s so much to do and see with your loved ones.

When it came to our wedding, I wouldn’t have trusted anyone but Tida to capture those moments. The day went by so quickly, i legit sobbed seeing the photos for the first time because the memories came rushing back. I’ll forever treasure the moments she captured of us and our loved ones.
