ABOUT TIDA SVY

My name’s Tida (like pita)! I’m a Los Angeles wedding & elopement photographer and I am so freakin’ excited that you’re HERE, you’re ENGAGED, and you’re looking to get some photos to celebrate it! To tell you a lil about myself - I’m not just another photographer – I’m your hype girl, your ally, your eyes and your ears on your wedding day. I’ll be there freaking out shouting “OMG HOT FIRE ALERT” hyping you up during portraits because holy-shit you look amazing AF! I’ll be dancing circles around your guests while I shove my camera in their faces, fixing your hair when the wind gets too cray, and confidently (and loudly) directing your family portrait time. I’m a tiny ball of giant energy and gurl, it shows on your wedding day – TRUST.

I’m here to give you beautiful, real, and candid photos that you’ll cherish for a lifetime – the ones that capture you and your partner at your silliest, weirdest, and most intimate moments. The photos that make your mom cry, the ones you’ll pass down on for generations, and the ones that make you go “YAAASSS QUEEN, LOOK HOW HOT WE ARE!”

HOW TO PLAN A WEDDING IN LOS ANGELES —

5 TIPS FOR PLANNING A LOS ANGELES WEDDING

There are so many things to keep in mind when planning a Los Angeles Wedding! Here are 5 things you need to know about getting married in Los Angeles:

  1. Some outdoor venues have a noise ordinance where all music must be below a certain decibel after 10pm. If partying past that time is important to you, make sure you keep that in mind while looking at venues!

  2. Traffic and parking is a thing! If you need to travel between locations on your wedding day, consider how long that might take! Choose a getting ready hotel or airbnb close to your venue. Same if you hope to take photos around the city - consider hiring a shuttle bus to drive you and your wedding party to each location so you don’t have to worry about parking. Be sure to factor in travel time!

  3. Keep the weather in mind. You generally want to avoid the summer and winter months in Los Angeles. It can be either extremely hot or cold and rainy! The months with the best weather to get married in Los Angeles are April, May, late September, and October!

  4. Get a wedding planner. With so many moving parts on your wedding day, hiring a great wedding planner will help keep the stress off of you so you can fully enjoy your wedding day!

  5. Make it a full wedding weekend! Don’t let the party start and end on your wedding day only! There are tons of great options for having a great rehearsal dinner the night before and a brunch the day after!

THINGS TO DO IN LOS ANGELES

How to Get to Los Angeles

Fly directly in to Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) - This airport is definitely the most convenient way if you’re staying anywhere south of the valley! Renting a car is a must so you can get to where you need to go.

Fly directly in to Hollywood Burbank Airport - Smaller than LAX, this is my favorite airport if you’re staying anywhere in the valley! With only 2 terminals, this airport is super easy to navigate.

Where to Stay

There are so many great hotels and airbnbs to choose from in Los Angeles! Your wedding venue might even have room blocks to provide your wedding guests with a convenient place to stay at a discounted rate. Below are some of my favorite hotels in the area!

“YOU CAN FEEL THE
LOVE & LAUGHTER
in every photo.”

When it came to our wedding, I wouldn’t have trusted anyone but Tina to capture those moments. The day went by so quickly, i legit sobbed seeing the photos for the first time because the memories came rushing back. I’ll forever treasure the moments she captured of us and our loved ones.
