HOW TO PLAN
A WEDDING IN SEATTLE —

5 TIPS FOR PLANNING A SEATTLE WEDDING

The Pacific Northwest is one of the most beautiful and diverse locations to get married in! Whether you are from Washington or you are planning a destination wedding, here are 5 things you need to know about getting married in Seattle:

  1. Book a wedding planner. With so many logistics involved, a great wedding planner is going to be able to help you secure amazing vendors, coordinate between everyone, and overall allow for a smooth stress-free process! Check out my list of the best Seattle wedding planners.

  2. Secure your vendors well in advanced. We all know that weather in Seattle is the best during the months of June - September, but this also means that this is when the majority of wedding in Washington happen! It’s extremely popular to get married in the Summer and early Fall in Seattle, so secure your venue and all of your vendors as early as possible so you have the best chance of having your first choices on your wedding day.

  3. Be prepared for weather. Even if you’re getting married during the Summer months when weather is usually the best, we all know that Seattle weather can still be unpredictable! Have a weather contingency plan (this is where that wedding planner really helps too!) Look at spaces that have indoor outdoor capabilities or have a tent rented. When opting for a tent, make sure it’s clear or white to fully maximize the natural light.

  4. Take advantage of the scenery. There are so many stunning places in and around Seattle. From the Seattle waterfront, to the North Cascades, Mt. Rainier, Olympic National Forest, and more! Opting for a venue that showcases the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest is going to do most of the work for you.

  5. Book an amazing wedding photographer. After that day is over, all you’ll have left are the photos to look back on. Booking an amazing wedding photographer will allow you to relive all of the moments and feel everything all over again!
